Havana, Illinois, 8:10am… This is the West lawn of the Mason County Court House. According to the NWS a storm containing 80 mph straight line winds came through Havana between 8:00am and 8:30am. The area hardest hit was the Main/Market Street area. I have placed additional photographs online, I have heard of no reported injuries at this time. There was a related fire in Hurley's basement which was dealt with very quickly by HFD. The Havana Park District and the City of Havana are working very hard and responded immediately to remove trees from the streets in order to make passage on the streets of Havana possible once again. Ironically, only a short term of power-loss was experienced.
